Our Policy Priorities
We support policies that will improve the lives of the middle class and help build a better, stronger California, by:
Expanding access to affordable housing
✅ Support for Prop 1, the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026. The proposition authorizes $11.25 billion in general obligation bonds to support affordable housing construction, homeownership programs, homelessness solutions, and veteran home loans—boosting housing production when we need it most.
✅ Support for Prop 37, which will help make housing more affordable for middle-class Californians by establishing a state-administered second mortgage down payment assistance program.
Securing stable funding for public education
✅ Support for Prop 3, which provides stable, guaranteed funding for schools. This measure protects funding for our schools and healthcare by maintaining the state’s progressive income tax rates, which the wealthiest 2% have paid for 15 years.
More transparency, accountability, and better results from state government
✅ Support for Prop 41, which will make the state government more transparent and accountable, so taxpayer money is used more effectively and delivers better results.
✅ Support for Prop 42, which prevents double taxation by closing a loophole in California's Constitution that allows politicians and special interests to pass new taxes on retirement accounts, life savings, and other personal property—something Sacramento has repeatedly attempted to do.
Protecting innovation and the state’s economy and jobs
✅ Support for the No on Prop 40 Coalition of doctors, clinics, Planned Parenthood, teachers, firefighters, business groups and entrepreneurs, and many others in opposing this measure, which would damage California’s economy and cost the state budget billions in lost revenue—all without doing anything to lower healthcare costs.
